What is the PTFA?

Our Parent, Teachers and Friends Association (Ribby with Wrea PTFA) is a lively, active, volunteer organisation dedicated to providing resources and engaging in activities which support the school to enhance the education of all pupils. We organise a wide range of fundraising events for both PTFA members and children throughout the year enabling us to make a financial contribution to the school by purchasing ‘extras’ not generally included in the school budget. Working closely with the Headteacher, we jointly identify ways to further benefit the children of Ribby with Wrea Endowed C of E Primary School. Our PTFA Constitution can be found on this page and includes full details of our setup and aims.

Who can join?

Any parent, guardian or carer of any pupil who is currently attending or has historically attended the school is automatically a member of the PTFA. Anyone in the wider community wishing to offer appropriate support are most welcome to get involved.

How can I get involved?

There are numerous ways you can get involved in the PTFA.  Our PTFA meets termly to plan events and fundraising activities and anyone can attend these meetings. We always welcome new members, ideas, suggestions or donations of prizes for our various events. Our Ribby with Wrea PTFA Facebook page will detail the next meeting dates / times and suggestions can always be sent through this page using Messenger.

What sort of things have the PTFA organised and supported in the past?

Events organised in the last few years include school discos, Charlotte Tilbury Make-Up Masterclass, Bunny Bingo, Christmas Fair and Tropics Evening. Monies raised have been used towards new furniture for our eco-pod, new hall chairs, visit from the Life Education Bus and teachers’ petty cash. Our annual Chair’s Report, also on this page, gives more detail.  With your support, we can continue to do so!

How can I keep up to date?

The easiest way to keep up-to-date is by following the Ribby with Wrea PTFA Facebook Page.
