Geography
The purpose of teaching Geography is to inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
At Ribby with Wrea we are keen to promote a 'love' of the world and our environment, through discussing and studying countries and regions within the world and raising awareness of environmental issues.
To ensure a wide range of studies and to give all pupils the opportunities to discover new locations and facts about the world, we operate on a 2 year rolling programme. This ensures no matter which class a pupil may be in they are always taught the relevant year group expectations and are covering these objectives through different topics and areas of study.

Throughout the year, geography is reviewed, analysed and monitored through teacher observations, book looks, pupil questionnaires, subject leader audits and a close working relationship with the Link Governor and Governing Body, reporting termly on progress, developments and subject updates.
Mr Hall is the Subject Leader for Geography and our link Governor is Mr Phillip Wood.
