Science - How water travels through plants
In science we have been looking at the unit of work ‘plants’. We have investigated how water travels through plants using food colouring, water and kitchen roll. The children have thoroughly enjoyed being scientists this afternoon!
Earth and Space
Nightingale Class have thoroughly enjoyed immersing themselves in our Earth and Space topic over the past week. We have explored the solar system in depth and have learnt lots planets. We have completed experiments all about the force of gravity and enjoyed our visit to the Astronomy Centre at Rossall.
Summer Term
I can’t believe we are at the beginning of the Summer Term already. This term we will be looking at animals around the world, starting with our pets. Even though we’ve only been back a few days Mallard Class have been working hard and practising their skills. Don’t forget to visit our X page @ Mallard_ribby to see what else we have been up to.

Summer Term 2024
Welcome to the Summer Term 2024.....the time seems to have flown bye and Year 6 are now starting to think about high school transitions and Year 5 are preparing to become the 'senior' class in school!
However there is still plenty of work and activities to do before the end of the Summer Term.
The class will be using their design skills to build vehicles, developing their knowledge and understanding of South America, focusing on Peru and Chile and looking at inheritance and adaptation of animals in Science.
Hopefully the weather will improve as we have cricket, rounders and athletics planned as well as Sports Day later in the term.
Year 6 will be rehearsing and preparing for their end of year show and the class will continue to work with Mr Spencer during music lessons.
A busy final term of the year!!
